April 2008 saw the launch of the new Eco-Vision series from Early Vision called ‘Let’s Play Our Part’ which aims to inform young children (3-7 year olds) about all things eco-friendly and inspire them to want to take part in saving the world!
The first product in the range – Let’s Play Our Part – Saving Energy proved extremely popular and we are now pleased to announce the launch of the long-awaited second title in the series, this one called - Let’s Play Our Part – Recycling. In the first title we were guided by Eco-Boy and in the new title it is Eco-Girl who is there to inform and inspire us!
There are four sections –
What is Recycling?
How Do We Recycle?
What Happens to Recycled Items?
I Recycle
With 13 film clips (which include a family sorting their recycling and going to the recycling centre, behind the scenes at the recycling centre and how glass and aluminium are melted down and made into new bottles and cans), 25 extension activities, detailed literacy lesson plans AND a whole school Infant assembly this CD-ROM simply MUST be viewed – we’re sure you will find it invaluable!
And while we are writing about this product from the fantastic company Early Vision we might just mention THREE pieces of excellent news they have recently received! Firstly, their title Let’s Play & Learn Garage Play Pack WON the prestigious Nursery World 2008 Award in the Creative Development category, secondly their Let’s Play & Learn Ourselves Theme Pack was HIGHLY COMMENDED in the Nursery World 2008 Personal, Social and Emotional Development category and finally their Let’s Play & Learn Travel Agents Play Pack has been announced as a FINALIST in the BETT Awards 2009 in the Early Years category (the winner to be announced in 2009).
